it's sort of all about 'SO WHAT!?'

my next big music interest was INXS, then Michael Stipe. R.E.M. was the first time i wore a band t-shirt. i even made a button/pin of stipe's face and wore it on my army backpack in high school. when i first realized that stipe wasn't straight, i was in denial for a while.

i love magazines. and books. but i read magazines in an extremely focused mindframe, like my eyes are laser beams scanning every minute detail. it's like i consume them but i'll keep them around and re-read them over and over, like i'm studying them. i don't want to throw them out until i've completely exhausted all interest in them, which happens more with magazines like star and people and cosmo. those i get sick of and want them OUT at that point.
