people should really be thankful for electricity while they have it, but maybe even also thankful for when they don't (at least for brief periods short enough hopefully to prevent complete insanity from wreaking its havoc on our feeble little technology addicted blinks on the matrix). Modern day humans require the endless distraction of ubiquitous mind-enhancing technological gadgets. our power was out tonight for only a couple of hours and mutual mental/emotional irritation began to quickly ensue as a psychological undercurrent inducive of mental game-playing purely for lack of external stimulus and/or mental discipline. (training daily in meditative pursuits isn't a frivolous activity, afterall.)
